On the other hand LCD is made from two layers of transparent material which are polarized and glued. One of the layers is coated with a polymer that holds the crystal liquid. Electricity or current is passed through the individual crystals which allows it to pass or block light to produce images. Crystals need an external light source to produce images such as a light bulb.
