Is it Illegal to Turn Without Signaling?
I love the questions I don’t have to look up answers to. Really it depends on where you are, but in most places it is illegal to turn without signaling. No one has ever been arrested for something as small as this, but it is illegal nonetheless. Even if it’s not illegal, it’s just a good idea.
Situations to signal:
- When changing lanes
- When making a left and or right turn
- When you intend to pull over to the side of the road
When you signal you let other cars know where you intend to go, they can then adjust accordingly.
