What's the difference between a hurricane, cyclone and a typhoon?

Both a hurricane and a typhoon are tropical cyclones.  The only difference between them is that a hurricane originates in the Atlantic Ocean or Caribbean Sea , and a typhoon originates in the western Pacific or Indian oceans.
