There is often a preparation program that parents of the child that is being Baptized. The classes consist of many parents who are all having their children Baptized. The goal of this program is to have the parents reflect on their own faith, and their commitment to Christianity, as well as learn how to teach their children their own faith, and to understand why a Baptism is important in the first place.
