Is it safe to use an earwax picker to pick your earwax? Should I stick anythign in my ear?

If there is a product called the 'earwax picker', it's probably ok to pick your earwax with it.  At least it's as safe as it gets when it comes to sticking things in your ear.  Really you should never stick things in your ear, just like mom used to say.  You can easily damage your eardrum, or other parts of the ear and since hearing seems to be a very valued commodity by most, it only makes sense to not risk damaging it.

The best way to clean your ears is with water.  There little plastic ear cleaners on sale at most drug stores.  These little devices are filled with water which you then shoot into your ear dislodging any wax build up.  If you use your finger or a 'earwax picker' you could just be pushing the wax deeper into your ear.  Using water is nor only safe, but probably more effective.  Don't go overboard with the water cleaner though, you need some wax in your ears, and using the water cleaner can make you dizzy.

I wouldn't get a used ear cleaner but here's a link to Ebay anyway.
