When was nephrogenic diabetes insipidus discovered?

Author: ctpb

Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI) is a kidney disorder in which the kidney is unable to respond to the antidiuretuc hormone, arginine vasopressin (AVP).  The kidney has a tough time absorbing the water it needs because the AVP is telling the body to dump the water instead.

It was first recorded in 1892 by C.H. McIlraith, here is a link to the case study.
