What kind of relief is there for yeast infections in armpits?

Author: ctpb

A yeast infection, also known as candidiasis, is the name for a common infection caused by a type of yeast-like fungus called Candida.  Candida is only the most common cause of a yeast infection.  Our bodies are always covered in Candida; however, our bodies usually have enough other types of bacteria to fight the Candida.  Occasionally the Candida manages to get out of control and you have a yeast infection.

You should see a doctor to confirm that you have a yeast infection and not some other more dangerous infection, and to give you proper relief.  Your doctor will probably prescribe a cream to relieve any itchiness.  The prescribed cream will be much more effective than any over-the-counter creams.

The armpit may seem to be an unusual place and while it is not the most common, yeast infection occur in any warm moist place, and your armpit is often warm and moist.
