The duration of digestion of meat, depends on the persons metabolism. Some people will digest it much faster than others, it's going to be different for everyone. Normal digestion would take about two to four hours. There are a lot of myths and misconceptions out there about wether or not humans should eat meat. Some people would have you believe That it's our increase in red meat that's to blame for increased heart disease, or cancer, or even such ridiculous claims as impotency. The fact is the only thing thats been proven is that eating red meat temporarily raises your cholesterol. Cholestorol is something the body needs. It is vital for the function of the nervous system and the integrity of the digestive tract. It's a powerful antioxident wich actually helps fight cancer and not cause it. The human body is perfectly able to digest meat and it takes no longer than digesting breads or carbs.
