The movie, Holiday Inn, (Paramount 1942) won an oscar for Best Music, Original Song for the song "White Christmas", sung by Bing Crosby and Marjorie Reynolds.

By 1954 the song "White Christmas" had become such a timeless classic that it was inevitable that a film , White Christmas, would be made around it. And of course the star was none other than Bing Crosby himself.
