Are Canadian Universities publicly, or privately owned?
Canadian universities for the most part are public ally owned. Of course that doesn’t mean that you can get out of paying you tuition. Recently the Canadian government has decided to allow private universities, although to my knowledge there are no significant private universities yet.
The Canadian government funds most of the cost of running universities, tuition is a lot but the government still pays more. Private universities will be able to spend more on supplies and professors, and will be able to charge more for tuition, I suppose I should say will have to charge more for tuition.
