Superglue was invented during World War II, not Vietnam, as was duct tape which was originally called “duck” tape.

As we said in the article, it was invented in 1942, but its original purpose (plastic for gun sights) failed. In the 60′s the inventor re-purposed it as a sealant for wounds, and that is where it found it’s way into the Vietnam War.
